To live a life of health and adventure supported by and supporting community. Co-creating with the land using productive and sustainable food systems to produce organic healthy food and quality of life for ourselves and others. A place of repose, retreat, renewal, and relaxation.

Who We Are

We are a diverse community passionate about working together for the care and betterment of our environment and each other. Current Members include a cosmopolitan mix from mainland USA, Australia, South Africa, Hawaii, and Belize.  

Amethyst Belize was founded by Eugene Meyer in 2010. After moving to the United States from South Africa years previous, starting over in a new country, his projected retirement looked far better elsewhere. Belize won after much research with affordable cost of living, land prices, English speaking population, and close proximity to the United States. The beauty and climate helped too.

Eco-Farm

Current we have an Ecological Farm with over 150 varieties of plants cultivated and grown utilizing permaculture and eco-systems from around the world, adapted to our needs and local conditions. The lush rainforest property is highly suitable for growing.

The following are just some of the plants growing in our Eco-Farm: Coconut Palms, Papayas, Pineapples, Bananas, Figs, Mahogany Trees, Tangerines, Sugar Cane, Black Beans, Corn, Pakaje. Berro-Watercress, Spinach, Coffee, Cacao.

In addition, we also have fresh eggs from the chickens on the property.

You can choose to grow food on your property or not.
